Abstract
Abstract: The theory for a size dependence of the electron affinity of a large dielectric cluster of radius R is presented. A perturbation procedure over the small parameters r ̄ R and L r ̄ (L is the scattering length in the condensed medium, r̄ is the interatomic distance) is proposed for the electron binding energy in the frame of the effective medium approach, using the theory of states of light quantum particle in a cellular medium. Estimations are fulfilled for liquid xenon clusters.
